son and son and father and son and son

As a single father, the connection I have with my two young boys has taken on new weight and significance. We are emotional pendulums, pushing and pulling, swinging between laughter and tears, between yelling and embrace. These moments, both tender and turbulent, shape us in ways I am ever trying to understand.

Fatherhood is both vital and fraught with contradictions. I often reflect on the lessons I learned, and didn’t learn, and how they inevitably shape what I pass on to my sons. Will my guidance help them, or hurt them in the end? What is essential for a man to teach his children? What is left unsaid, and what remains unknown?
