I’ve always been fascinated with the fotographic process and so enthralled by the idea of capturing an image, that I have become irritated at the fact that I wasn’t the one who invented it.  So irritated have I become that I can barely bring myself to take a straightforward shot anymore. I don’t even spell fotography correctly. Instead of following the usual set of "photographic rules", I make mine up as I go along.  I rewind my film as I expose it.  I have other people create my self portraits.  I glorify bad polaroids.  To quote Duane Michals, "The history of photography has not been written. You will write it... Nothing has been done until you do it."
